Your Gym, Start to Finish.
Residential and Commercial fitness equipment, delivered and installed across New England since 1983.
No pressure. No obligation.
Buying fitness equipment shouldn't feel like a project.
Picking the wrong thing
Online listings all blur together. You can't tell which brand is real, which one's built to last, and which one's about to disappear from the internet.
A box on your driveway
Big-box retailers deliver to the curb. Then it's on you to drag it inside, figure out the assembly, and hope you have the right tools.
No one to call when it breaks
Two years in, the belt slips or the motor goes. You email the seller. The email bounces. The warranty PDF points to a phone number that's been disconnected.
You shouldn't have to figure this out alone.
Three steps to your home gym.
Sold. Delivered. Installed. Serviced.

We're there for the long run.
Factory-trained technicians come to you for maintenance, repairs, and warranty work. Same crew that delivered it.
From people who've actually done this with us.
43 years of New Englanders. 4.6 stars on Google. 166 reviews.
We've been doing this since 1983.
Workout Fitness Store has been outfitting Maine and New England homes for 43 years. Locally owned, based in Westbrook, where the showroom and the service trucks both live. Our team has been picking fitness equipment for spaces like yours for decades and knows the difference between what looks good in a photo and what holds up in a basement gym ten years in.
When you reach out, you get a real conversation. No chatbot. No sales script. No third-party shipper. The same crew that helps you choose is the same crew that delivers it, sets it up, and comes back if it ever needs service, anywhere from Cape Elizabeth to Portsmouth to Burlington.
Equipment We Carry
Find the right fit for your space
Most of the home gyms we set up start with one or two anchor pieces and grow from there. The decision usually comes down to space, joints, and how often you'll actually use it. Treadmills and ellipticals cover most of our residential installs; strength equipment and rowers round out the serious setups. Tell us your space and we'll point you at the right starting point.

Outfitting facilities across New England
Hotels, schools, gyms, senior living. Single machines to full facility buildouts. Same team, same service standard.

One ends with a box on your driveway. The other ends with a gym.
The Hard Way
Scroll online and guess which machine is best. Drag a 200-pound box down your basement stairs in November. Spend your whole Saturday on assembly instructions. Six months in, the belt snaps, the online seller's gone, and the warranty PDF points nowhere.
The Workout Fitness Store Way
Free consultation with a trusted local expert. We help you pick the right machine. Our Maine crew gets it delivered and installed in your home, ready for your first workout. If anything needs service, you call our Westbrook store and we take care of it.
Years in, you're still using the gym, and we're still here.
Common questions.
How much does a home gym cost?
A home gym can run anywhere from a few hundred dollars for a basic setup to tens of thousands for a fully-equipped space. The honest answer is that it depends on your room, your goals, and how often you'll use it. That's why we start every project with a free consultation, no pressure and no obligation. You tell us your space and what you want to do, and we recommend equipment that fits. We carry trusted brands at retail prices, and we'll match or beat what you find online.
Do you deliver and set up the equipment, and what does that include?
Yes. Every order includes our White-Glove In-Home Setup. Our crew brings the equipment to your home in our truck, carries it through your hallways or down to the basement, assembles it, tests it, and walks you through how it works. We haul away all the packaging before we leave. You never get a box on your driveway. We deliver and install across New England, including Greater Portland and the midcoast.
What happens if something breaks after I buy it?
Call us. We service everything we sell, in house, with factory-trained technicians. Your equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and we handle the warranty work for you so you're not chasing a phone number on a PDF. You also have a 7-day refund window after delivery if it isn't the right fit. We've been doing this in Westbrook since 1983, so the team that delivered your treadmill is the same team that shows up when it needs service.
Can I get a better price online?
Maybe, and if you can, tell us. Bring us a price, we'll match it or beat it. Online listings often look cheaper before you add shipping, assembly, and the cost of dealing with it yourself when something goes wrong. With us, the price you see is delivered, set up in your home, and backed by a local team you can call. You get a better number and a better experience. That's been our rule since Charlie started writing it down years ago.
Do you handle commercial installations too?
Yes. Hotels, gyms, schools, senior living, fire stations, single machines to full facility buildouts. We deliver and install commercial fitness equipment anywhere in New England, and we accept purchase orders from schools, municipalities, and state contracts. Typical install runs two to four weeks from order to opening, sometimes faster. For commercial service calls, our team responds within 48 hours. Tell us the space and the use case, and we'll quote the layout and the equipment.
